5 years is a long time

If you know me, you knowthat I don’t stay put long. I haven’t lived in the same place for more thanfour years (childhood excluded) and I’m always looking for something fun to do,somewhere fun to live, etc. Much to the chagrin of my father, I can’t seem toplant roots. However, five years ago I decided I wanted a dog and that meant I would have to get serious about commitment. I figured lots ofpeople have dogs
and I am responsible and organized, so this would be a slamdunk for me, and in March of 2007, I entered
into the world of a pet owner, and I was worried how this would turn out.

I am happy to report that this past New Year’s Eve my little bag of wrinkles, Lulu, turned five. We made it. We’ve managed not to kill each other, although there were times when she was doing figure eights around my living room terrorizing me and my friends while we were held captive  on the couch that I wondered what I had gotten into, and if my friends would ever come back to my house.  All in all, I think Lulu and I make a good pair. She’s currently wrapping up an extended vacation at her country home in Tonganoxie. I am very much looking forward to having her back to hear her snores and grunts.

Lulu's first Big XII tournament.

The early days.

Life as we know it...now!
